HEAF (High Efficiency Air Filtration) units are used to control emissions
- from sources where fabric filters cannot be used because they plug up with sticky, liquid or viscous particulate material;
- where wet scrubbers require excessive energy consumption because of the extremely small size distribution of the particulate matter;
- where electrostatic precipitators cannot be used because the particulate matter fouls the collection plates and causes shorting between the electrodes; or
- where fume incinerators have been used in the past, and where the high cost of fuel prohibits their use in the future.
Depending on the gas flow rate, there are three HEAF units to choose from. The Mini-HEAF, the Flat-Bed HEAF and the Rotary Drum HEAF. Typical applications are listed below.
Andersen 2000 Inc and Montair Andersen bv supply many HEAF units each year and are ready to assist you in any way. |
